Peter Wiedmann, 60, of Earlville, IL passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in Mendota Community Hospital Mendota, IL, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 9, 1953 in Sentrup, Germany the son of Otto and Edith ( Pokern )Wiedmann. He married Carol Barrett in 1983. He was a meat cutter at DeKalb County Packing for over 30 years.
He is survived by hie wife Carol of Earlville; two daughters, Christina (Mario) Mendez of Lombard, IL and Erin Wiedmann of Earlville; two sons, Peter D. Wiedmann and Nicholas Wiedmann both of Earlville; two grandchildren; one sister, Ingeborg (Gary) Gorney of Aurora, IL; one brother Klaus (Judy) Wiedmann of Bolingbrook, IL and several nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Earlville United Methodist Church 313 Stilson St. Earlville, IL with Pastor Linda Thomas officiating. Burial will be private at a later date. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the church until the service at noon. Memorials may be directed to The American Cancer Society.
