Peter James Rousseau “Pete the Painter,“ 50, of Sandwich, IL passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 11, 1965 in New Bedford, MA the son of Raymond and Elaine Emerson Rousseau. He married Beth A. Enger and spent 17 happy years together. Pete was a painter, and took great pride in his work. His only son, Kyle, painted for many years by his side. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Pete’s boisterous personality will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Beth of Sandwich, IL; his mother, Elaine of New Bedford, MA; his step mother, Sue of Ceresco, NE; his children, Kyle Rousseau of Sandwich, IL, Rebecca and Angela Rousseau both of New Bedford, MA; his step children, Jennifer Enger of Sandwich, IL, Samantha Jeremy Knobeloch of Somonauk, IL, Jeffrey Jackie Waite of Sandwich, IL, David Waite of Colorado, Darren Rachel Waite of Champaign, IL and Ashley Christopher Johnson of Kentucky; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. David Cherie Rousseau of Somonauk, IL and Marc Bonnie Rousseau of New Bedford, MA; one sister, Suzanne John Cosgrove of Tiverton, RI; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond and both sets of grandparents.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Helmar Lutheran Cemetery in rural Newark, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Helmar Lutheran Church at 11935 Lisbon Road in Newark, IL.
