Peter R.H. Lopez

     Peter R. H. Lopez, 46, of Sandwich, IL, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 29, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 11, 1979, in Sandwich, IL, the son of Luciano and Rebecca (Moore) Lopez. Peter worked at KFC in Sandwich for over 10 years as a cook and even trained other new cooks. An avid fisherman, he loved spending time teaching his children the lessons his father taught him about fishing and being self-sufficient. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family.

     He is survived by his father, Luciano Lopez; his fiancée, Rebecca Heckman; his children, Hunter Kivlehan, Hannah Douihech and her son, Braxton McCombs, Isaac Lopez, Riley Heckman, and Rayna Lopez; his half-sister, Trina Leger; his half-brother, Scott Leger; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca, his stepmother, Patricia, and his grandparents.
