Percy L. Reeve, 88, of Plano, IL, passed away Friday, July 8, 2011 at his residence in Plano surrounded by his family. He was born November 10, 1922 in Oakdale City, IA the son of Frank and Harriet (Lutz) Reeve. He grew up in Iowa until he was fourteen then moved to Hinckley, IL and worked on the family farm. He married the love of his life, Virginia Park, on June 14, 1942 in Yorkville, IL. Percy moved into the house he built in Plano, IL on his 30th birthday and was a longtime Plano resident and fixture of the community since then. He enjoyed walking the neighborhood, visiting with neighbors and friends, and especially enjoyed his family.
He is survived by one daughter-in-law, Lois Reeve of Montgomery, IL; one son-in-law Phil Anthenat of Sandwich, IL; four grandchildren, Glenda (Ted) Shick of Millington, IL, Laura (Don) Minick of Sandwich, IL, Beth (Jeff) Barrick of Fort Belvoir, Va, Jennifer (Dave) Coe of IA; nine grandchildren; Jacquelyn Michael, Joshua Michael, Jason Aters, Bryan Shick, Tyler Minick, Kylie Minick, Ryan Barrick, Gavin Coe, Landon Coe; several Great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Chester (Mary Lou) Reeve of Sycamore, IL, Robert (Gladys) Reeve of Houston, TX.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; his parents; one daughter, Judy Anthenat; three sons, Ronnie Reeve and two sons in infancy; one sister, Doris Culley.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 11, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano. Memorials may be directed to the family.
