Paul William Stangeland age 56, of Monroe, WI passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020 at his home. He was born the son of Merle and Betty (Rygh) Stangeland on February 10, 1964 in Sandwich, IL. Paul was a 1982 graduate of Somonauk High School.
Paul worked on the family farm for many years; he also worked at Swiss Colony in Monroe for 19 years. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing golf and softball. He loved watching sports, especially the Cubs, Badgers, and Bears. Paul’s biggest joy was spending time with family and friends.
Paul is survived by his siblings, Steven (Marge) Stangeland of Blanchardville, Cheri (Jerry) Davis of Sandwich, IL, Cindy (Dan) Lykken of Bellevue, WA, Diane (Bruce) Wold of Somonauk, IL, and Patty (Keith) Geitner of Cary, IL; 14 nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family burial will be held in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Somonauk, Illinois.
