Paul Henry Scull, Sr. (55) of Plano passed away April 9, 2014. He was the son of Nick and Patricia (Henry) Scull having been born on January 11, 1959 in Hinsdale, IL.
Paul was the loving father of Paul (Heather) Scull, Jr. of Plano, IL; Jeremy (Diana) Scull of Montgomery, IL; Joseph Scull of Plano, IL and step-son, David Koch of Plano, IL. Devoted grandfather to Mia, Jill, Jamie and Paul Junior Scull, Molly Koch and David Koch, Jr. and Jessica Prentice and the soon to arrive Ava Scull.
Paul coached for many years in the Plano Youth Tackle Football League. He also, coached and umpired in the Plano Little League Baseball Program. He loved children and enjoyed playing Santa Claus during the holidays.
Paul graduated from Indian Hills Community College in Centerville, IA where he was catcher on the baseball team. Over the years, Paul had worked at various foundries in the area and at the Menard’s Distribution Center.
Besides his children, grandchildren and parents, he is survived by his brothers, Scott (Vicki) Scull of Oregon, IL; Steven (Ellie) Scull of Decatur, IL and step-brother, Jeff (Carla) Scull, step-sister, Wendy Hartzfeld of Plano, IL; many nieces, nephews and the mother of his children, Terri. He is also survived by his aunts, Peggy Martinez of Albuquerque, NM and Sandi (Steve) Bauer of Cedar Rapids, IA
Paul is preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Elsie (Thompson) Henry and Enoch and Vera (Johns) Scull, Sr., his brother-in-law, Tom Hartzfeld and his aunts and uncles, Joanne Shufelt, Susan and Walter Sherman, Kay Inman, Elsie Meilinger and Vera and George Eleff.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano with Pastor Kent Svendsen officiating. Burial will be private at a later date. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
