Paul Larson passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025 at his Sycamore, IL residence. He had been under hospice care with Heartland Hospice. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Susan (Johnson) Larson, and sons Kevin and Andrew (Misty). Also surviving are grandchildren: Hannah Mcgee (Ben), Nick Larson (Faith), Hayley Gatz (Peyton), Bailey Larson (Mathis), Brock Larson (Magan), and Max Larson (Trinity) and great grandchildren: Theo and Bauer McGee and Sophia Larson. Sister Karen Larson of Sandwich also survives. And best dog of all time, Harley.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Joyce and Marilyn.

Born on September 23, 1944, Paul grew up on a farm outside of Leland, IL son of Floyd and Lois Larson. He graduated from Leland Community High School in 1962, served in the U.S. Air Force, and, after discharge, worked for and became a partner in Somonauk Insurance and Realty.

Following his retirement from the insurance business, he happily worked for Monsanto for seven years. In retirement he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.

He was a lifelong White Sox fan and let's not forget Elvis. He greatly enjoyed coaching boys' baseball during his sons' growing up years and after. He was confirmed at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Leland, and at the time of his death was a member of Leland Methodist Church.

A big thank you to his faithful caregivers of six years: Kim, Umeka, Sylvia, daughter-in-law Misty, and of course, Susan.

Paul will be interred at the Leland Cemetery; a private family graveside service will be held. Memorials to honor Paul's memory may be made to Open Door. For more information or to sign the online guestbook go to www.EighnerFuneralHomes.com
