Paul Goldsboro, passed away on Friday June 24, 2022 at the age of 94. He was born June 23, 1928. He was the youngest of five boys born at home, to Iva Buchanan Goldsboro and Wilson Goldsboro of Brownstown, Illinois. Early schooling took place in a one room schoolhouse in Sefton Township. High school years were in Brownstown and one year at Aurora East High School. Paul was in the Navy based in San Diego when he married Bernadine Elliott in April of 1947. After the service he was a very proud member of the IBEW, Aurora local 461 and Alton 309 local. His trade took him to many local job sites as well as Greenland and Cuba.
In 1951 he purchased 15 acres north of Plano, Illinois and built a home for his family including two sons Daniel and Barton, and a daughter Christine. There he and his family farmed, raised cattle and horses.
Later in life he married Audrey Kohler and lived in Bridgton, Missouri, with stepchildren Lori and James Kohler.
He and Audrey retired to Lake Wales, Florida where they enjoyed boating and fishing.
He is survived by his son Barton (Sandra) Goldsboro, their children Kim (Bob) Bols, Jeremy (Amy) Goldsboro, great grandchildren Cortney, Tyler, Jessica and Zoe; his daughter Christine (Michael) O’Flynn and children Ryan (Lisa) Anderson, Neal (Stephanie) Anderson, Alyssa (Chris) Kelly and great grandchildren Kyle, Jordan, Kailey, Maya, Jonathan and Colin; Stepson James (Sonny) Koehler; Brother David Goldsboro.
He was preceded in death by his son Dan Goldsboro, first wife Bernadine, second wife Audrey, stepdaughter Lori, and brothers Forest, Leroy, and O.W.
