Patricia Ray Finkle, 80, of Earlville, IL passed away, Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 30, 1934 in Villisca, IA the daughter of Lee and Hattie (Akers) Clark. She married the late Carl Finkle Jr. on November 25, 1954 in Villisca, IA. She was a member of Earlville United Methodist Church. She worked for Babcock Insurance in Earlville and then retired from Christopher Schultz Insurance in Mendota. She spent many years as a Girl Scout leader and volunteered as a scorekeeper for many of the summer softball leagues in town. She was also a member of the Presbyterian Mariners. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Carla (Marc) Hanson and Carol (Randy) Goodbred both of Earlville, IL; four grandchildren, Jason (Maureen) Hanson, Brent (Michele) Hanson, Whitney and Reed Goodbred; three great grandchildren, Zoe, Claire and Gage Hanson; a sister, Betty Curtis of East Islip, NY and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Earlville United Methodist Church with Pastor Sandy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Precinct Cemetery rural Earlville.
