Patricia Ann Bowron, 86, of Shabbona, IL formerly of Sandwich, IL passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Prairie Crossing and Rehab Center in Shabbona, IL. She was born July 21, 1938 in Aurora, IL the daughter of George H. and Amelia (Spielhalter) Glasser. She married Richard E. Bowron on August 31, 1957 in Batavia, IL. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hinckley, IL. Pat enjoyed baking and sharing it with everyone. She enjoyed camping with her family and was a diehard Cubs Fan. Pat was the most kindhearted CNA and Activity Director working for several nursing homes in the area. Pat was a very devoted wife, mother and enjoyed spending all her extra time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her husband, Richard of Shabbona, IL; two daughters, Elizabeth Gebe of Sandwich, IL and Kathryn (Kent) Davis of Farmer City, IL; one daughter-in-law, Pamela Bowron of Olathe, KS; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, David; two sisters, Virginia Robertson and Betty Stephano.
Visitation will be on August 31, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. till the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church 12760 Lee Rd. in Hinckley, IL. With Pastor James Barbey officiating. A funeral luncheon will follow the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Dementia Society of America https://www.dementiasociety.org
