Patricia Lee (Day)Ammons, 84, of Sandwich, IL passed away July 25, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 18, 1937, in Aurora, Il. the daughter of Clayton and Dorothy (Ames) Day. She married Donald L. Ammons on June 17, 1955, at the Federated Church in Sandwich, IL. and they were married until his passing on March 22, 2013.
She was a member of the Federated Church where she served as a deacon of the church and sang in the choir for over 60 years. Pat worked for many years at The Sandwich Medical Clinic.
In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her three children; Jim (Debbie) Ammons of Omaha NE; Julie Ammons (Neil DeSilva) of Denver CO. John (Nancy) Ammons of Oswego, IL: Seven grandchildren; Britt Ammons, Jaime( Chris ) Wolfe, Clayton Myers(Kate McDonald), Sanjali DeSilva, Julie (Dan) Leonardi, Jack Moga and Amanda (Doug) Goebel, one sister Nancy Klossing; and many great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Dorothy Day, and her husband Donald Ammons.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Federated Church in Sandwich, IL with Pastor Randy Nicholas officiating. Private burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
