Pamela Towle, 66, of Sugar Grove, passed away peacefully at her home on June 29, 2026.Born on July 4, 1959, Pamela was the daughter of Richard and Carol Wendling and older sister of Russ Wendling. She grew up in Yorkville and attended Aurora University. She dedicated many years to teaching at St. Mary Catholic School in Plano.
Throughout her life, she called several places home, including Hinckley, Elburn, Prestbury, and Sugar Grove. In 2019, Pamela married Byron Towle. Together they shared a passion for music and performed throughout the area as members of the Bliss Creek Band.
Pamela was the devoted mother of Chris, Kelly, and Alex, and a proud grandmother to Cheyenne. More than anything, she loved her family. She always put those she loved before herself, and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unconditional love.
She had a wonderful eye for interior design, decorating, and fashion, and had a gift for making every gathering feel special. She treasured time spent with her children, and anyone who knew her could count on finding a Diet Coke close by.
She also adored her pets over the years, KB, Piper, Harry, Belle, and Shadow, just to name a few. Pamela will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, teacher, and friend.
Her warmth, selflessness, laughter, and unwavering love for her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though her time with us feels far too short we are forever grateful for her unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered every day. Arrangements were entrusted to Tuner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL.
