Opal Marie Martin, 92, of Sandwich, IL passed away, Monday, December 19, 2011 at Aurora Rehabilitation in Aurora, IL. She was born September 6, 1919 in Pierre, South Datoka, the daughter of Edward and Wilma (Abbott) Golding. She married Robert E. Boyce in 1938, following his death she later married Anthony Martin in Aurora.
She was a member of Faith Bible Church in Somonauk. Opal had a great love for gardening and cooking and traveling to Missouri.
She is survived by two daughters, Pat (James) Wolsfelt of Somonauk and Yvonne (Steven) Schmidt of Hepzibuh, GA; one daughter, Steve (Paulette) Boyce of Aurora, IL; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one son, Robert E. Lee Boyce, three sisters, Ruth Johnson, Myrtle Dyon and Leiota Loehmann.
According to Opal’s wishes, there will be no services.
