Nicholas "Nick" J. Amelio

Nicholas “Nick” Amelio, 47, of Newark, IL passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023 at his home. He was born October 1, 1976 in Melrose Park, IL the son of Patrick and Mary (Herzog) Amelio. Nick loved driving. He worked hard to get his CDL, after all his hard work he got a job working and driving for a local farmer. Nick really loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play, enjoyed golf, fishing and loved to bake (especially sweets). Nick had a huge heart and loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Nick is survived by his daughter, Tori Carlson of Georgia; one grandchild expected in the Spring; one brother, Anthony (Sue Atwood) Amelio of Illinois; one niece, Hana Amelio of Wisconsin; mother of his child, Annamarie Glenn of Illinois; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL with a funeral service to follow at 7:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
