Nancy Ann Wold, 82, of Earlville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026. Born on April 4, 1944, in Ottawa, Illinois, she was the beloved daughter of Lylla (née Kellogg) and Joseph Hughes. A lifelong resident of Earlville, Nancy was a devoted member of St. Teresa Catholic Church and a proud graduate of Earlville High School, Class of 1962.
On October 24, 1964, Nancy married Richard “Dick” Wold, and together they had three children. She was the proud mother of Amy (Mark) O’Dell of New Hamphshire, Andy (Jennifer) Wold of Indiana, and Barry Wold of Earlville, IL.
Nancy’s family extended to her granddaughters, Ally (Jacob) Baker and Mary (Brian) Sarvey, and she was the proud great‑grandmother of Reese and Levi Sarvey. She also treasured her many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her siblings Kathy (John Sharp) Derix of Peru, IL, Rita Kuper of LaSalle, IL, and Pat (Cindy) Hughes of Graniteville, South Carolina. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her toddler sister, Mary Jo Hughes.
Nancy dedicated more than 20 years to Walmart in Plano, IL, where she served as a Customer Service Manager and was known for her kindness and patience. Her commitment to her community extended far beyond her work—she spent many years as a volunteer EMT with the Earlville Ambulance Service, offering care and comfort to neighbors in need.
