Mildred L. Wiley, 82, of Harding rural Earlville, IL passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007 at her home. She was born September 9, 1924 in Elizabeth, IL the daughter of Michael and Harriett (Steele) Burke. She married Roger G. Wiley on November 29, 1947 in Elizabeth, IL. She was a member of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in Earlville. Mildred was a nursing cadet in the US Army during WWII. She worked as a registered nurse for many years. Her life revolved around her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Roger; two daughter, Susan (James) Pfau of Serena, IL and Sandra (David) Gast of Earlville, IL; six sons, James (Cindy) Wiley of Mendota, IL, Frank (Diana) Wiley of Oshkosh, WI, Mark (Vicky) Wiley of Earlville, IL, Paul (Cathy) Wiley of Sheridan, IL, William (Paulette) Wiley of Elizabeth, IL, and Donald Kerry (Jonelle) Wiley of Harding, IL; one nephew, Thomas (Bernice) Burke of Princeton, IL, who was raised as a son; twenty-nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one sister, Lorraine "Aunt Rene" Eastman of Hanover, IL; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Patrick and Connie in infancy; one granddaughter, Katelynn Wiley; six sisters, Hazel Mason, Frances Schreck, Eleanor Jones, Dena Pierson, Clara "Carrie" Miller, and Marjorie Sieloff; three brothers, George, Dennie, and William.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in Earlville with Rev. Chris G. Haake officiating. Burial will follow at St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in Earlville. Visitation will be form 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19th at the church, with prayers being recited at 7:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be the six oldest grandsons, Jonathan Wiley, Peter Pfau, Heath Wiley, Torey Wiley, Erik Gast, and Shane Wiley.
