Michael S. Smith, 46, of Sandwich, IL passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich. He was born July 14, 1970 in Aurora, IL, the son of Larry and Joyce Johnson Smith. He married Kimberly Carter on March 28, 1996 in Geneva, IL. Michael enjoyed his family, especially his children.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly of Sandwich, IL; one daughter, Jayden Smith of Sandwich, IL; one son, Joshua Smith of Sandwich, IL; his mother, Joyce Paul Helgeson of Coloma, MI; his father, Larry Jeanne Smith of Somonauk, IL; one sister, Jennifer Oliver Schmidt of Johns Creek, GA; two brothers, Larry Judith Smith, Jr. of Elburn, IL and Matthew Amy Smith of North Aurora, IL.
He was preceded in death by his maternal, Ralph and Ruth Johnson and his paternal grandparents, Glen and Carolyn Smith.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk with Rev. Paul Banister officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the funeral home in Somonauk. There will be a reception with time for fellowship, memories, visiting and comfort for one another directly following the service at Fox Valley Older Adults at 1406 Suydam Road in Sandwich, Illinois across from the Sandwich Fair Grounds.
