Michael "Mike" E Barron

June 26, 1966 — March 2, 2023

Michael “Mike” E. Barron, 56, of Yorkville, Illinois passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois. He was born on June 26, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Harlon and Madeline (Scaletta) Barron. He married Janet S. (Haas) Baker on August 24, 2021 in Yorkville, Illinois. He was a proud member of the Laborers’ Union Local #68, retiring after more than 35 years.

Mike enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was relaxing by the water at his “little blue cottage,” grilling for family and friends or spending time in the country at the Haas family’s farm. Some of his happiest times were spent vacationing in Puerto Vallarta. He loved being around his many friends, and most often won the title of “Life of the Party”. Mike truly never knew a stranger and his absence will be felt deeply by the many lives he touched. Most of all, he cherished time with his twin daughters, his wife, and his sister.

Mike is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters, Allison, and Emily Barron both of Schaumburg, IL; stepson, Paul Baker of Missouri; sister, Nancy (Barron) Quinn of Carol Stream, IL; niece and goddaughter, Amanda (Zack) Zelten of Huntersville, NC; his aunt and cousins; Janet’s family and the mother of his daughters, Karen Liberio. He will also be missed by his fury sidekicks, Milo, Bob, and Mr. Wong.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and stepson, Mark Baker.

Mike’s passion of caring and choice to be a donor was honored by Gift of Hope.

Arrangements were entrusted to Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, Illinois.
