Mercedes W. Temple, 83, of Serena, IL passed away Monday, May 4, 2009 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center in Ottawa. She was born December 16, 1925 DeKalb, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Emma Kittleson George. She married Robert C. Temple on May 5, 1946 in Leland, IL. She was a member of Serena United Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Temple of Serena; one daughter, Betty Lowe of Ancona, IL; one son, Brad (Kara) Temple of Serena, IL; four grandchildren, Whitney Lowe, Mallory Lowe, Bryan Temple, and Benjamin Temple; one brother, Clarion George of CA; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth George of Waterman, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Barbara and Rebecca Temple, two sons, William R. and Brian Temple, one brother, Milo George, and one sister-in-law, Shirley George.
