Mavis J. Gunderson, 95, of Sandwich, IL formerly of Sheridan, IL passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 in Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich. She was born May 14, 1919 in Sheridan, IL the daughter of John and Clara (Tellefson) Gunderson.
She is survived by two nephews, John Scheppler and Raymond Scheppler; two nieces, Judy Scheppler and Barbara Judge.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marian Scheppler.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with Rev. William Weidenbach Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Little Indian Creek Cemetery rural Leland, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2014 in the funeral home until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
