Mary Louise Underwood

Mary Louise Underwood, 79, of Sandwich passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born October 21, 1933 at the family home in Earlville, IL the daughter of Fred and Loretta (Randall) Miller. She married Earl Underwood on April 15, 1950 in DeKalb, IL. She was a member of United Church of Sandwich. Mary worked for CTS Nights for over thirty years, retiring in 1992. She loved the holidays and baking goodies for everyone. Mary enjoyed bowling, arts and crafts. Every year she looked forward to the Sandwich Fair.

She is survived by one daughter, Cheri (Jerry) Kammes of Shullsburg, WI; one son, Michael (Lisa) Underwood of Naperville, IL; three grandchildren, Scott (Tonya) Kammes of Darlington, WI, Laura (Jerry) Droessler of Platteville, WI and Brian (Becky) Kammes of Browntown, WI; three great grandchildren, Tristan, Trevor and Samantha; one brother, Leroy (Lisa) Miller of Sandwich, IL; one sister-in-law, Naomi; two brothers-in-law, Gene and Odell; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in dead by her parents and her husband, Earl.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the United Church of Sandwich with Pastor Jonathan Singleton officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be directed to United Church of Sandwich.
