Mary K. Dewey, 85, of 451 Sunset Boulevard Oglesby, IL passed away, Thursday, February 7, 2013. She was born September 12, 1927 in Oglesby, IL the daughter of Peter and Yagoda (Ublish) Kasap. She married Alan J. Dewey on December 15, 1950 in LaSalle, IL. She was an active member in the Republican Party. She was involved in several Social and Women’s Groups in the LaSalle County Area.
She is survived by a daughter, Adriane (Ron) Chadwick, two sons, Bryan Dewey and Brett. Dewey; two grandchildren, Christopher Dewey and Alyse (John) Chung; special friends Audrey West, and Darlene Vietz; Mary’s caregivers, Betty Buccafurri, Diana Barkman, Karen Fassig, Pauline Brandt and Cheryl Siembab; and Mary’s housekeeper, Lisa Schmitz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan, and one daughter, Norine Dewey-Fite
Private graveside services were held at Wisner Cemetery in Ophir Township. According to Mary’s wishes there was no visitation or funeral services. Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice. Arrangements were entrusted to Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville, IL.
