Mary Patricia Coultrip

Mary Patricia Coultrip, age 84, of Somonauk, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 1, 1941, in Aurora, Illinois, the beloved daughter of Henry and Mabel (Amsberg) Trompeter.

Pat lived a life rooted in service, faith, and community. She generously gave back in countless ways, serving as a 4-H leader, a member of the Plano Rotary, an Election Judge, and a volunteer for Relay for Life and Valley West Hospital. She was a devoted and active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Professionally, Pat dedicated 35 years of service to the Community Bank of Plano, later known as BMO Harris Bank, where she was known for her kindness, reliability, and strong work ethic.

Pat is lovingly survived by her husband, Gene Coultrip; her children, Jeff Coultrip of Bristol, WI; Brenda (Mark) Eisenberg of Spring Grove, IL; Brian Coultrip of Fairfax, VA; Julie (Tim) Jansen of Somonauk, IL. Also cherishing special memories and enduring connections are Daniel Condon of Los Angeles, CA, and Leah (Joe) Guillemette of Marshall, IL. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy (Arnie) Breitenfeld of WI; her brother, Gerald (Barbara) Trompeter of IN; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Richard and James Trompeter; and her daughter-in-law, Natalie Coultrip, and special longtime friend, William Condon.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Parish Center. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk, Illinois, with Father Joseph Naill officiating. Our family extends our heartfelt gratitude to Unity Hospice of Rochelle and Kind Compassion of Somonauk for the compassionate and exceptional care they provided to Pat.
