Mary J. "Sis" Adams

Mary J. "Sis" Adams, 71 of Naperville, IL passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at her brother's home in Downers Grove, IL. She was born January 9, 1944 in Sandwich, IL, the daughter of Cecil and Katherine (Newlin) Adams. She was very active with the Sandwich Benevolent Association (Fair Booth) and with the Bingo Group at Church and at the Sandwich Moose Lodge #1016, where she served as secretary.

She is survived by two brothers, Chuck (Sandy) Adams of Sandwich, IL and Jerry (Katie) Adams of Downers Grove, IL; three nieces, Annette (Scott) Powell of Sandwich, IL, Sarah (Brandon) Evans of Darien, IL, and Mary Adams of Downers Grove, IL; three nephews, Bob (Karla) Adams of Glasgow, KY, Jeff (Candace) Adams of Lombard, IL, and Tim Adams of Downers Grove, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Beverly Adams.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Sandwich, IL, with Father Andrew C. Hougan officiating. Burial will follow at Leland Cemetery in Leland, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, with a prayer service recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church or the Salvation Army.
