Marvin H. Kearney, 93, of Plano passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich. He was born February 7, 1922 in Bakerton, KY, the son of William A. and Addie Lee (Radford) Kearney. He married Delilah F. Stubbs on August 28, 1942 in Campbellsville, KY. Marvin retired from Federal Huber in Plano in 1981.
He is survived by his four children, Betty (Bob) Franklin of Milledgeville, IL, Bud (Cheryl) Kearney of Campbellsville, KY, Carl (Jessica) Kearney of Sandwich, IL, and Barbara (Frank) Hargett of Prescott, AZ; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Davis of Campbellsville, KY, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter, Dorothy Sondgeroth, seven brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL, with Pastor Jeff Bewley officiating. Burial will follow at Little Indian Creek Cemetery rural Leland, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., until the time of services on Monday in the funeral home in Somonauk.
