Martha A. Koch, 87, of Plano, IL passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at her home. She was born August 6, 1929 at home in rural DeKalb County, the daughter of Earl and Louranie Hill Stanford. She married Elman Howard Koch on December 14, 1952 in Somonauk, IL. Martha was a member of Somonauk Baptist Church. She retired from Trebers Restaurant in Plano. Martha enjoyed her garden, flowers and loved to cook.
She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Koch-Richardson of Stafford, VA; two sons, Charles Koch of Aurora, IL and Howard Koch of Kernersville, NC; five grandchildren, Ryan and Tonya Richardson, Caitlin, Chase and Jordan Koch; two great grandchildren, Derrick and Emilee; two sisters, Shirley Keele of Oglesby, IL and Mavis Wesson of Rochelle, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elman in 1991 and three sisters, Margaret Keele, Marybelle Lundberg and Roberta “June” Warren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Plano Bible Church in Plano with Pastor Ed Schoenberger officiating. Burial will follow at Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on the church in Plano.
