Mark A. Vermeland

Mark A. Vermeland, 42, of Somonauk passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL. He was born November 3, 1973 in Aurora, IL, the son of Dale and Janet (Miller) Vermeland. He married Margo Lowry on October 8, 2005 in Aurora, IL. Mark was a US Marine Corp. Veteran. He enjoyed boating at Lake Holiday, where he grew up and resided. Mark also enjoyed bowling on his Friday night league in Sandwich, his dog Diablo, better known as Boobie, watching wrestling but his greatest love of all was his family.

He is survived by his wife, Margo of Somonauk, IL; one daughter, Kayla Vermeland of Phoenix, AZ; his mother, Janet of Sandwich, IL; one brother, Steven (Becky) Vermeland of Somonauk, IL; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Ruthi Lowry of Aurora, IL; two sisters-in-law, Danielle (Buddy) Fischer of Aurora, IL and Toni (Jeff) Wolgast of Yorkville, IL; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with Pastor Del Keilman officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the funeral home in Somonauk, IL.
