Marjorie M. Sons Anderson

Marjorie M. Sons Anderson, 88, of Earlville, IL passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010 in Heritage Manor in Mendota, IL. She was born May 8, 1922 in Tonica, IL, the daughter of Nicholas and Christina Ballensiffer Schmitz. She married Ira Jack Sons on July 26, 1941 and later following his death, she married Herbert Anderson on February 28, 1976 in Tiskilwa, IL. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Earlville. Before retiring, Marge worked at Marathon Electric in Earlville.

She is survived by her seven children: Kenneth (Karen) Sons of Tonica, IL, James L. (Nola) Sons of Ashland, MS, Kathleen (Robert) Clark of Golden, CO, Michael (Suzanne) Sons of Davis, IL, Stephen (Mary) Sons of Earlville, IL, Sandra (Tammy Paul) Sons of Highland, IN, and Cindy (Steve) Wilson of Warrenville, IL; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Funfsinn of Mendota, IL.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; one grandson, Duane Sons; two sisters, Mildred Goodbred and Bernice Hudak.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 221 Union St., Earlville, IL, with Rev. Chris G. Haake officiating. Entombment will follow at Forrest Lawn Memory Garden in LaSalle. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the church with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service and also a visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass in church. Memorials may be directed to the Arthritis Foundation and/or to the family.
