Marilyn June Youssi Bennett

Marilyn J. Bennett, 61, of Paw Paw passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, IL, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 22, 1955 in Mendota, IL, the daughter of Donald and Arlene Alexander Youssi. She married David Bennett on March 15, 1996 in Earlville. Marilyn loved her Tootsie Rolls, except the chocolate and banana ones. She was a true matriarch of the family, always there when she was needed and had the best advice. Her family was everything to her and she to them.
She is survived by her husband, David of Paw Paw, IL; four children, Donald Gibson of Mendota, IL, Jason Gibson of Mendota, IL, Nickie John Ashbrook of LaMoille, IL and Sean Bennett of Paw Paw, IL; one step son, Chris Christy Bennett of MS; her mother, Arlene Butts of Mendota, IL; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Danny Melody Youssi of Troy Grove, IL and Michael Shirley Youssi of Singapore; and two very special nieces, Lisa Kyle Minor of VA and Andrea Youssi of Spring Valley, IL and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald and her brothers, Terry Youssi, David Youssi and Steve Youssi.
Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home with Pastor Sandy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Precinct Cemetery in Earlville, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at noon at the funeral home in Earlville.
