Marilyn Langhart, 92, of Plano, IL passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at Season’s Hospice in Naperville, IL. She was born March 18, 1925 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Louis Nicholas and Helen Julia Huber Hoffman. She married Junior Langhart on October 1, 1949 in Aurora, IL. Marilyn was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plano. She was a graduate of the 1943 class of Madonna Catholic High School in Aurora, IL. Marilyn was very active at St. Mary’s and took great pride in being a Eucharist Minister and her work in the condolence ministry. She also was a part of the Blue Army. Marilyn was a homemaker that worked along side Junior on the farm and instilled her work ethic in their 2 children.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Langhart of Mason City, IL; one son, Donald Langhart of Sandwich, IL; one sister, Dorothy Butler of Montgomery, IL; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plano with Father Andy Davy, M.I.C. officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Bristol, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s building fund or in the form of Masses.
