Marilyn Jean Raney, 79, of Sandwich, IL formerly of Earlville, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 in Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. She was born October 18, 1934 in Earlville, IL the daughter of Harry and Della (Maloy) Alexander. She grew up in Earlville, and graduated from Earlville High School.
She is survived by four children, Brad Raney of Plano, IL, Scott (Dana) Raney of Tucson, AZ, Brenda Raney of Melbourne, FL and Lorena (Roger) Ensminger of Germany, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; one sister, Arlene Butts of Mendota, IL, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her children, Eldon Raney, one son in infancy, Harry Raney, one sister Helen Fuchs.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Earlville United Presbyterian Church in Earlville, IL with Pastor Del Keilman officiating. Burial of her urn will follow in Precinct Cemetery rural Earlville. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the church until the time of services. Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL. In Lieu of flowers Memorials may be directed to the family.
