Marie E. Lesko-Chrzanowski, 82, of Oconomowoc, WI, formerly of Lake Holiday, Somonauk, IL passed away Wednesday December 2, 2020 at her home in Wisconsin. She was born January 20, 1938 in Library, PA the daughter of Chester and Josephine (Yanesh) Benzin. She married James H. Lesko, Sr. on November 15, 1958 in Chicago, IL. After James’ passing in 1995, she later married Peter Chrzanowski in Yorkville, IL. Marie started as a teller at Prospect Federal Savings and Loan where she worked her way up to Comptroller before retiring after 35 years. She was a former treasurer at Lake Holiday Board. Marie enjoyed gardening but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Peter of WI; Her three sons, James (June) Lesko, Jr of Somonauk, IL, William (Judy) Lesko of Newport Beach, CA, and Joseph Lesko of WI; five grandchildren, James (Neikeia) Lesko III, Anthony (Olivia) Lesko, Joshua (Cassie) Lesko, Lauren (Robert) Zane, and Nicholas Lesko; eight great grandchildren, Cerelia, Zamélie, Arlenn, Evia, Rafferty, Courtney, Henry, and Jasmine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Josephine Benzin; her first husband, James Sr.; her sister, Francine; and her brother, John.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk with Kevin Butler officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Somonauk, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL.
