Marguerite Mary Vincent, 77, of Marseilles, IL, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 21, 2016, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born May 26, 1939 in Ottawa, IL, the daughter of Otto and Catherine Koetz. She married Stanley Vincent, Sr. on August 9, 1957. Marguerite attended Friendly Welcome Baptist Church in Earlville and First Apostolic Church in Sandwich. She enjoyed spending time with her children and bowling at the 4-lane bowling alley in Earlville. Marguerite worked hard raising her children and living her life for them. Her family was her greatest pride and joy.
She is survived by her children Pamela Patrick McCarty St. Louis of NC, Stanley Ray Charlotte Vincent Jr. of MS, Denise Marie Wayne Carter of Sandwich, IL, Cindy Vincent of Earlville, IL. Vista Jean Jay Pittman of NC, Michael Jay Ruth Vincent of LA and Connie Renee Lonnie Reppine of Marseilles, IL; thirty-nine grandchildren; seventy-seven great grandchildren; her son-in-law, Larry Humbers of MS; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Debra Ann Humbers, two grandchildren, Johnny Capanoli and Charles James Kaufman, three great grandchildren, Nora Grace, Austin McCormick and Paul Welk.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville with Pastor Charles Yeakel from United Pentecostal Church of Mendota officiating. Burial will follow at Precinct Cemetery in rural Earlville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the funeral home in Earlville.
