Margaret L. Reuter

Margaret L. Reuter, 88, of Somonauk, IL passed away, Saturday, January 14, 2012 at her home in Somonauk. She was born December 4, 1923 in Palatine Twp., Illinois, the daughter of Elmer C. and Luella (Bruns) Plote. She married Elmer F. Reuter on February 20, 1943 in Barrington, IL. She was a member of the Union Congregational Church of Somonauk and DeKalb County Farm Bureau. She enjoyed being a farmer’s wife, her family, and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Marie (Kent) Huff of Waterman; two sons, Gene (Frances) Reuter of Elgin and Glen (Cindy) Reuter of Somonauk; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her grandson, Jeremy Reuter and her brother, Ralph Plote.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL with Rev. Dennis Heaney officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Mound Cemetery in Somonauk, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2012 and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
