Margaret A. Preston, 78, of Oswego passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at Hillside Rehab and Care Center in Yorkville. She was born October 21, 1935 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Joseph and Johanna (Pudinas) Vivian. She married Thomas Preston on March 2, 1957. Margaret retired from the Montgomery US Post Office. She enjoyed ceramics, Weight Watchers and the Red Hat Ladies of Plano. Margaret got great enjoyment out of doing these things out with her numerous friends.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas of Oswego, IL; two daughters, Laura (Kent) Harker of Modesto, CA and Diane (Larry) Ament of Plano, IL; two sons, Robert Preston of Kansas City, KS and Russell Preston of Oswego, IL; nine grandchildren, Brandon (Kathleen) Harker, Lindsay (Larry) Kjellberg, Adam and Stephen Harker, Chad (Liz) Ament, Troy, Nathan, Drew and Tyler Ament; seven great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jacob, Katelyn, Taylor, Alexandria, Kolten, Emiliana and Baby Oogie to come; one sister, Joan (Verne) Jarrett of Elgin, IL; special friend of over 50 years, Myrtle Schmidt of Montgomery, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home in Plano. Memorials may be directed to American Lung Association or Harbor Light Hospice.
