Margaret L. "Honey" Johnson

Margaret L. “Honey” Johnson, 88, of Sandwich, IL passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. She was born September 9, 1929 in Melrose Park, IL the daughter of Harvey George and Lillian Lucille (Smith) Meyer. She married Donald Johnson on June 10, 1950 in Maywood, IL. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Somonauk, IL, the Red Hat Society. She volunteered at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL, enjoyed golfing and swimming. But most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by five children, Susan (Curt) Carrion of Hanover Park, IL, Judy (Richard) Hill of Johnsburg, IL, Dale (Kimber) Johnson of Elk Grove Village, IL, Debbie (Rick) Crystal of Bloomingdale, IL and Donna (Charles) Camp of Somonauk, IL; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren with one more on the way; three sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, and one sister Dorothy Helsel.

Memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL with Rev. William C. Weidenbach, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:00 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to any Animal Shelter of your choice.
