Lucille Irene Wicks

Lucille Irene Wicks, 93, of Morris, formerly of Ottawa and Sheridan, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Park Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Morris. She was born September 21, 1920 in Yorkville, IL the daughter of Edward and Anna (Moenkewier) Nolte. Lucille was united in marriage to Andy Wicks on March 24, 1943. She was employed for several years at Park Brothers in Sandwich and then moved to the Ottawa Marseilles area. Lucille retired from IGA (Handy Foods) where she worked for several years. She enjoyed singing, playing cards but her greatest love was her family.

She is survived by one son, Randall (Toni Lewis) Wicks of Utica, IL; one daughter, Loretta (Chuck) Alltop of Ottawa, IL; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy, one son, Alec, three sisters, four brothers and one great great granddaughter.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL. Memorials may be directed to the family.
