Lucille Orris (nee Rierson) left this earth on August 18, 2019 at 90 years old. She was an avid quilter, tremendous mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Born on April 5, 1929 she grew up on a farm in Leland Illinois with her parents and 5 siblings Jeanette, Marilyn, Jerome, Margaret (Bob) and Ted (Cinda) and has always loved farm country. As an adult she spent most of her years in Arlington Heights and later in Mount Prospect.
She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Irene Rierson, sister Marilyn, sister Jeanette and brother Jerome as well as her first husband Jack Benoit and then second husband Sam Orris.
She will be remembered in life by her children John (Sharon), Cindy (Walt), Susan (Rick) and Beth (Larry). As well as her stepchildren Diana (Bill), Donna, Tim (Lynn). She had a rich family life with 6 grandchildren Rob (Jen), Ryan (Dawn), Brett (Kim), Tom (Kathy), Anna and Julia and many step grandchildren. Four great grandchildren were able to know their great grandmother Owen, Kate, Millie and James.
We were blessed to have her with us for 90 years.
The graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. on September 21, 2019 at Little Indian Creek Cemetery in Leland.
