Lucille E. Goins, 95, lifelong resident of Bristol, IL passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, peacefully with her family by her side. She was born August 9, 1926 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Wynn and Elizabeth (Swartz) Bridge. She graduated from Yorkville High School in 1944. She married Robert N. Goins on January 18, 1947. She lived a long and wonderful life enjoying her family and her church. After her retirement from F.W. Witt in Yorkville, IL at the age of 70, she pursued her passion for quilting, crocheting, ceramics and making numerous blankets for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as various organizations, including Grace’s Mission, Hospitals, Project Linus and Kendall County Health Dept. She enjoyed passing on her love of quilting to her family, friends and church members. She was as member of the Kendall County Home Extension, United Methodist Church Women’s Circle and the Yorkville Legion Auxiliary. She was a lifelong member of the Bristol United Methodist Church and the Trinity United Methodist Church in Yorkville, IL.
She is survived by her four children, Marcia (Ron) Spurgeon of Mustang, OK, Kathy (David) Goodale of Morris, IL, Robert M. (Eileen) Goins of Swansea, IL, and Ralph (Lynn) Goins of Newark, IL. Ten grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and twelve step-great grandchildren, and eight step-great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. One brother Wynn Bridge of Bristol, IL and one sister Bonnie Johnson of Aurora, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert in 1980, infant twin sons, one sister Arlene, and one brother Raymond.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Trinity United Methodist Church 2505 Boomer Lane Yorkville, IL 60560, with Rev. Robert M. Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery Bristol, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the church..
