Louis P. Brady

Louis P. Brady, 90, of Sandwich, IL passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at his home. He was born November 15, 1922 in Sandwich, IL the son of Charles Roland and Gladys (Thompson) Brady. He married Nancy L. Blomeyer on June 26, 1948 in Plainfield, IL. Louis was a member of United Church of Sandwich, Charter member of the Sandwich Lions Club for over 60 years, former secretary and board member of the Sandwich Fair Association, former member of the Sandwich School Board, former member of the Sandwich Public Library Board, former board member of Castle Bank, former member of the DeKalb County Housing Authority, and former member of the Oak Ridge Cemetery Board of Sandwich.

He is survived by one daughter, Ellen Brady of Aurora, IL; one son, Laurence Brady of Long Grove, IL; three grandsons, Patrick, Scott and Collin Brady; one great grandson, Isaac Brady; one brother-in-law, Gene Olson of Sandwich.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters, Eileen, Phyllis and Faith.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL with Pastor Jonathan Singleton officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Sandwich Lions Club, United Church of Sandwich or the Sandwich Public Library.
