Lorraine A. Kolzow, 87, of Yorkville passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 at Hillside Rehabilitation and Care Center in Yorkville. She was born December 18, 1924 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Olah and Elizabeth (Vierow) Lunger. She married Kenneth Kolzow on April 24, 1946 in Chicago, IL. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Plano. Lorraine enjoyed crocheting, gardening, wearing lovely jewelry and her Chicago Cubs. She loved all animals especially dogs.
She is survived by one daughter, Kristine Bright of Plano; one son David Kolzow of Mendota; three granddaughters, Kathleen (John) Wolfe of Earlville, Ryanne and Erin Bright of Chicago; two grandsons, William (Jody) Albright Sr. of Yorkville and David Kolzow Jr. of MO; four great-grandchildren, Cal Kolzow, Kelsey, Ali and Will Albright Jr; one sister, Laverne Buccaro of Channahon; one brother, Charlie (Sue) Lunger of WI; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter, Catherine.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano with Pastor Bruce Booher officiating. Burial will follow in Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to The Alzheimer’s Foundation or The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
