Loretta F. Rushing, 80, of Sandwich passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich. She was born October 2, 1934 in Minonk, IL, the daughter of Adolph and Matilda Heedt Bill. Loretta has strong love for her church, Somonauk Baptist Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches and her church family. Loretta’s greatest love of all was her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Lee Ann Rick Phelps of Aurora, IL and Alicia Rushing of Sandwich, IL; one son, Craig Melody Rushing of Aurora, IL; five grandchildren, Michael, Tyler Cidney, Trace, McKenzie and Rylee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, five sisters and the father of her children, Ken Rushing.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Somonauk Baptist Church in Somonauk with Pastor David Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at noon at the church. Memorials may be directed to Somonauk Baptist Church.
