Loretta A. Hamill, 83, of Plano passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 at Valley West Community Hospital in Sandwich. She was born February 26, 1930 in Oswego, IL the daughter of Earl and Iva (Erwin) Mitchell. Loretta married James Hamill on December 16, 1945 in Yorkville, IL. She was a member of the Plano American Legion Auxiliary. Loretta enjoyed camping, traveling puzzle books and reading.
She is survived by three sons, Chester (Toni) Hamill of Aurora, IL, Samuel (Linda) Hamill of Phoenix, AZ and George (Patti) Hamill of Plano, IL; eight grandchildren, Marci (Pete) Tomac of Noblesville, IN, Terri (Eric) Stonecipher of Yorkville, IL, Jimmy Hamill of Compton, IL, Mike Hamill of Milwaukee, WI, Nickolas (Kelly) Hamill of Davis Junction, IL, Kelly (Dean) Casey of Rockford, IL, Brian Hamill of Pontiac, IL and Denise (Mike) Dildine of Crystal Lake, IL and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one daughter, Inez Hewitt.
Private cremation rites were trusted to Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL.
