Lora Bauer, 41, of Plano, IL passed away, Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL. She was born November 17, 1976 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Tom and Judy (Streff) Bauer. She was a member of Plano Bible Church where she served on the Missions Committee, and AWANA Program, but her real love was Samaritan’s Purse Shoe Box Ministry. Lora worked 15 years for Schneider Electric as a financial analysis. She enjoyed all sorts of crafts, collecting tea cups, Shelly China, and baking. She loved her koi pond, watching the fish and growing flowers. Most of all she loved spending time with her two nephews and one niece.
She is survived by her parents, Tom and Judy of Plano, IL; one brother, John (Anne) Bauer of Kearney, NE; her niece and nephews, Nathan, Audrey and Matthew Bauer; a special friend, Craig Head; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arnie and Marian Bauer and Herb and Irene Streff.
Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Plano Bible Church 111 W. South Street Plano, IL with Pastor Steve Lombardo officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday, February 5, 2018 in the church. Memorials may be directed to Muscular Dystrophy or Samaritan’s Purse Shoe Box Ministry.
