Lloyd F. Green, 70, of Sandwich, IL passed away suddenly on Monday, May 1, 2013 at Valley West Community Hospital in Sandwich. He was born September 2, 1942 in Fort Jackson, Columbia, SC. He was the son of Lloyd F. Green and Armeta (Justice) Green. He married Jane Henry on November 30, 1960 in Aurora, IL.
Lloyd was a painter and paper hanger for 40 years with Union Local 448. He enjoyed cars, making, building and restoring things and being with his family, especially his grandsons. His friendship, kindness, faith in God, and quick humor will be missed, and always remembered.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, of 53 years, Jane Green of Sandwich; son, Charles Green of Aurora; daughter, Dawn Green of Sandwich; grandsons, Matthew Green of Aurora, Jacob Green of Sandwich; brother, Phillip Senter of Bossier City, LA; sisters, Shelby Cornett-Salkum of Washington D.C., and Judy Young of Springfield, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sandy Strom; his brothers, Jeremiah Senter, Gregory, Charles, Gideon and James Green.
There was a prayer and burial service on May 7, 2013 at Lincoln Memorial Park, with Pastor Terry Crague of Faith Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements were handled by Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL.
