Leslie N. "Les" Tucker

Leslie N. “Les” Tucker, 74, of Sandwich, Illinois passed away, Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL. He was born May 3, 1943 in Kewanee, IL, the son of Nolen and Lucille Hanchett Tucker, who preceded him in death. He married Estelle Lauletta December 31, 1993 in Streamwood, IL. Les was a proud member of the US Navy. He was also a member of Harvest Chapel in Sandwich. Les was a supervisory air traffic controller at the Chicago Center. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, RVing, boating on Lake Holiday, and really loved animals and small children. Les had a great love of cars and had a passion for negotiation.
He is survived by his wife, Estelle of Sandwich, IL; five children, Deb Jeff Samuels of Sandwich, IL, Thad Dana Tucker of Centerport, NY, John Michelle Leno of Schaumburg, IL, Eric Misty Tucker of Shorewood, IL, and Bret Julie Tucker of Maple Park, IL; nine grandchildren, Joshua, Josh, Kaleb, Bryan, Carsyn, Noah, Cassidy, Aidan, and Ashley; two sisters, Sherry Charley Cantrell of Plano, IL and Chris Jerry Jennes of Geneseo, IL; one brother, Ron Tucker of Christiansburg, VA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL, with Pastor Derek Johnsen officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the funeral home in Sandwich, IL.
