LeRoy Collman, 88, of Tomah, WI formerly of the Yorkville, IL area passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 peacefully at his home. He was born August 17, 1924 in Sheridan, IL the son of Olney and Elsie (Jacobs) Collman. He began working for the Burlington Northern Railroad Shops before settling on a career of woodworking. He had his own business, Leroy's Hobby Craft, for 32 years. He made many of the cabinets in the Yorkville area homes during those years. After moving to Wisconsin he continued his passion for woodworking as a part time business. Leroy was united in marriage to Rosemary Colbe on October 1, 1945 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Parsonage in rural Yorkville by Rev. A.J. Gess. He was a life-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL. He became an associate member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in rural Shennington in 1985. LeRoy also served as a volunteer firefighter for the Bristol Kendall Fire Department from 1953 until 1985.

LeRoy is survived by his two sons, Keith (Sandra) Collman of Bristol, IL and Kevin (Denise) Collman of Sheridan; three grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Tikalsky, Cory, and Courtney (Steve) Andel; three great-grandchildren, Falynn Osborn and Alex Andel, Maella Tikaslky; brother, Dwayne (Kay) Collman, Yorkville, IL; sister, Helaine (David) VanBibber, Greentop, MO; sister-in-law, Betty Collman, Dunedin, FL; several nieces and nephews and many friends in both Wisconsin and Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers, Clifford, Howard, and Ivan.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau Street, Tomah, WI. The Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be given at www.sonnenburgfamilyfh.com .

A Committal Service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012, 10:30 A.M. at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with a funeral service immediately following at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 10104 Immanuel Road, Yorkville, IL. Pastor Jeffrey Ruetten and Pastor Michael Nell will officiate. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Turner-Eighner Funeral Home, 3952 Turner Ave, Plano, IL.
