Leonora E. Fladung, 93, of Yorkville, IL passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 in her home surrounded by loving family members. She was born December 20, 1919 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Lester and Myrtle (Williams) Hutchinson. She married Hans Georg Fladung on August 10, 1941 in Hyde Park, IL. Leonora was a member of First United Methodist Church in Elmhurst, IL. She taught high school at Addison Trail High School, teaching German and Spanish. Leonora graduated from Elmhurst College in 1965 and received her Masters Degrees at Roosevelt University.
She is survived by one daughter, Carla (Alvin) Klaeren of Newark, IL; two sons, Hans (Cathy) Fladung of Logan, UT and Paul (Victoria) Fladung of Batavia, IL; four grandchildren, Chris (Kathy) Klaeren, Eric, Steven and Ken Fladung; three great grandchildren, Jonny, Danny and Eleni; caregiver, Chingee Bazarvanni; her beloved cat, Thumbelisa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Hans.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Salem Lutheran Church in Sandwich, IL with Pastor Wayne Derber officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. on Saturday until the time of service at 12:00 at the church. Memorials may be directed to Elmhurst College Memorial Education Fund or the charity of one‘s choice.
