Leonard J. “Perk” Perkins, 87, of Earlville, Illinois passed away, Sunday, November 8, 2015 at OSF St. Paul Medical Center in Mendota, IL. He was born May 23, 1928 in Kent, Ohio the son of Paul Henry and Pauline Budd Perkins. He married Joan Kay Russell on December 1, 1984 in Houston, TX. He served in the US Army Airborne. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Earlville. Perk enjoyed golfing, traveling to Arizona for the winters, reading and most of all spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Joan of Earlville; two sons, Arthur Linda Perkins of Phoenix, AZ and Dr. Steve Mary Perkins of Austin, TX; two daughters, Angela Ken Perkins of Canton, OH and Cher Cris Farley of Earlville, IL; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, six of them are sextuplets; one sister Lucy Raymond Pickle of Van Buren, Ark. And several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Floyd Perkins and one sister Mildred Meadows.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in Earlville, with a luncheon to follow at Earl Township Community Center.
