Laura E. Botts

Laura E. Botts, 92, of Earlville, IL passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in Heritage Health in Mendota, IL. She was born December 14, 1921 in Paw Paw, IL the daughter of George and Emma (Mathesius) Eich. She married Bradley Botts in 1943. Laura and Brad ran the B &L Bar in Earlville for many years. She enjoyed playing in a local band as well as cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church rural Compton, IL.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Botts of Minneapolis, MN and Mike (Janet) Botts of Earlville, IL, and two grandchildren, Jeff (Wendy) Maly of Earlville and Marcy (Jeff Barrett) Faber of Mendota, IL, four great grandchildren, Pvt. Zach Faber, Rylee Faber, Reagan and Sadey Maly, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bradley, one daughter Ginger Maly, four grandchildren, Jill, Brian, Steven, and Trevor, ten brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church 415 East St. Earlville, IL with Rev. Tammy Anderson officiating. Burial of her urn will follow in Precinct Cemetery rural Earlville. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the church until the time of service. Arrangements were entrusted to Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville.
